The Project
Spice Routes Kerala is a premium F&B brand celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Kerala’s spice trade. dhub partnered with the founders to build a complete brand identity that captures the warmth, authenticity, and heritage of Kerala spices — from the logo to the packaging on the shelf.
What we faced
The founders came to us with strong product but no brand. The existing competitors all looked the same — generic green packaging, cliché spice imagery, and unclear positioning. Spice Routes needed an identity that would stand out in both local Kerala retail and international export markets, while telling a story rooted in the region’s 2000-year spice trade history.
How we solved it
We built the brand around the concept of “the journey of flavor.” Our logo combines the geometry of a compass rose with the silhouette of a pepper vine, rendered in deep saffron and turmeric tones. Packaging features hand-illustrated botanical art and typography inspired by ancient trade documents. Every touchpoint — from the 80-page brand guidelines to retail shelf collateral — reinforces a premium, authentic positioning.
